Viking Arms Trade Event 2016.
Harrogate based distributor, Viking Arms Ltd, yet again held an incredible Trade Event unlike anything else in the industry!
Held on Sunday 22nd and Monday 23rd May, Viking hosted an exclusive trade event to launch new products and brands and showcase existing lines, with the opportunity to talk to the manufacturer and get hands-on with both the rifles and shotguns on the outdoor ranges.
The event was held at a new location in North Yorkshire. A luxury castle set in a 20,000 acre shooting estate where they had exclusive use of the hall and grounds for the two day event – and boy did they make the most of it!
The event was a huge success and saw dealers from around the UK join to network and celebrate. Travelling from Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and the South coast they were rewarded with a unique opportunity to see the very latest products, talk to the manufacturers, attend workshops and actually have a go with the products themselves.
The two-day event included product demonstrations and talks by Viking’s Manufacturers such as Meopta and Partner companies, Hammond Sporting, Eley Hawk and BASC.
With displays throughout the hall, falconry displays on the front lawn, and a fantastic range layout, Viking put on a unique trade event unlike any seen in the industry before.
Supported by some fabulous companies, Viking used the event to launch new products and brands and further raise the profile of several of their more established brands. The range on display was vast with old favourites such as Ruger, Lapua, Henry and Proshot and newer products like the new 3HGR sling, Tickless and, latest to their portfolio, Leupold & Stevens!
Supporting the launch of Marocchi’s latest shotguns, Viking had a clay line provided by Promatic Traps and run by BASC coaches. This proved a popular choice for many and gave customers the opportunity to evaluate the product for themselves – many being quite taken with the new range. Then the attendees had the opportunity to have a go on the Running Boar. Again, kindly supplied by Promatic, the Running Boar rifle target is a great piece of kit and gives shooters the opportunity to practice shooting live quarry. And if that wasn’t enough for you, they also had a static rifle range with a selection of rifles to choose from.
In the castle, the trade weas spoilt for choice, whether it was rifles, shotguns or the added extras that you were interested in, there was something for everyone including partner companies such as Arxus boots by Hammond Sporting or a tipple from Little Red Berry Co, Viking ensured that they included something for everyone.
On the Sunday evening, Viking held a trade dinner for customers and shooting press to attend. Sponsored by Streamlight, the evening not only provided further opportunity to socialise with the Viking team, the manufacturers and network with industry colleagues, but also saw the trade club together to raise over £1000 for Macmillian Cancer Support.
All new items on display at the event will be launched to the public at their stand at the UK Game Fair this July. Viking would like to say a big thank you to all their customers and other industry colleagues that attended and invite everyone to note the dates for the next event which will be held on 20th & 21st May 2018.
