Thomas Jacks – Pulsar Accolade Series

The Accolade is a new series of thermal imaging bioculars, consisting of two models, which include the XP50, XQ38, which will be available to view on the Thomas Jacks stand at the British Shooting Show 2019.

This Series has an ergonomic design. Both the XP50 (SRP – £4,699.95 Inc. VAT) and XQ38 (SRP – £2,999.95 Inc. VAT) are fully waterproof (IPX7) and have many features, including a dual eyepiece configuration and a variable interpupillary distance, which allows for the distance between eyepieces to be adjusted, improving the overall viewing comfort and quality. Both models share the same features and functionality, but the XP50 has a 640×480 17µm thermal sensor and the XP50, 384×288 17µm thermal sensor. Both have a smooth 50Hz refresh rate, but different objective lens sizes.

A combination of lens and thermal sensor give the XP50 a detection range of up to 1800m, whilst the XQ38 has a detection range of up to 1350m. The XP50 has a native magnification of 2.5x with 8.0x smooth digital zoom providing a 20.0x total magnification. The XQ38 has a native magnification of 3.1x with a 4x smooth digital zoom providing 12.4x total magnification.

These models have a stadiametric rangefinder, a frost resistant AMOLED display and picture in picture mode. The new Accolade Series is a product that conservationists and hunting enthusiasts will be sure to approve of providing comfortable prolonged observation. Users will appreciate the user-friendly interface and the series features a built-in video recorder and Wi-Fi, meaning users can stream video footage live via YouTube. All Accolade devices benefit from being Stream Vision compatible and utilise Pulsar’s quick-change B-Pack battery system.
