Hiho Silver is delighted to announce that its supporting National Ladies Shooting Day by providing an overall prize in the ‘Prize Pile’ and through providing goody bags for the local event in Wellington, Somerset.
National Ladies Shooting Day was created by Victoria Knowles-Lacks, the same lady behind the Shotgun & Chelsea Bun Club. The day will be held on 27th June at 23 shooting grounds all across the UK. Hiho Silver is particularly supporting the local Wellington event, which will be run by Abbey Ling, who offers game and clay shooting tuition and has won a number of shooting accolades including World Champion.
“At Hiho, we’re passionate about all things to do with the countryside, and we loved the idea of both the Shotgun and Chelsea Bun Club and National Ladies Shooting Day,” says Emma Warren from Hiho Silver. “We have a few shooting themed pieces in our collection and the response we’ve had to these shows that ladies are embracing this part of country life more, something supported by a number of top brands increasing their range of ladies’ shooting attire.
“I know Abbey as she teaches my children, and after a chat about the day, we decided that we wanted to be involved and help to support it. We’re really looking forward to the event.”
Hiho Silver has also bought a number of tickets for the Wellington event and is offering these tickets to customers to help promote shooting to a female audience.
“I’ve decided to host one of the events at my shooting range because I’m keen to encourage all ladies to try and take part in our shooting sports,” says Abbey Ling from Abbey Ling Shooting School. “I’m keen to help raise the profile of ladies shooting and give everyone the best experience. Teaching people in the right way from the very beginning and giving the correct advice is my aim, and being a female coach, I think, allows me to relate to the issues ladies face better, making it easier for me to make them more comfortable.”
