British Gunmakers Dominate In Arizona

British gunmakers dominate at extreme in the USA! Daystate and Brocock PCPs used by winners at prestigious international championships.

Daystate and Brocock flew the British airgun flag in a big way at the Extreme Benchrest Championships in Arizona, US (11-14 October). With a full program of challenging disciplines and a large prize fund, the prestigious event attracts elite airgun marksmen from across the globe annually, with this year’s four-day  competition being particularly challenging due to high winds and monsoon-like conditions.

Despite the adverse weather, it was an electronic PCP that dominated the events – Daystate’s Red Wolf, launched only in January 2018 by the Staffordshire-based gunmaker. Red Wolf shooters took the entire podium in the 50m Benchrest, Extreme American FT and Knockdown Silo Pro Class events, including an impressive 40 ex 40 maximum on the Field Target course by American, Michael Wendt.

Another British PCP took the Extreme Benchrest finale, where shooters compete on paper targets at 100 yards to win the biggest prize pot in the airgun shooting calendar. In a field of competitors, shooting predominantly other brands, Chilean shooter Claudio Flores used the latest gun by Brocock, a Bantam Sniper HR, to beat a highly-talented field and take home a well-earned cheque for $5,000!
