Accurize Shooting Systems launch in the UK
By Steve Morgan
Getting the time to visit the range and practice your aim and shooting technique can be difficult for most of us, so a shooting system that you can safely set up in the comfort of your own home or office at a time that suits you has a lot of appeal.
The Accurize Shooting System, developed and designed in Norway is a high quality system using the latest laser and digital technology. There are three elemental parts to the system which are very easy and straightforward to set up.
The laser cartridges come in a variety of calibres to match your firearm (.308, 6.5×55, 6.5 Creedmore, .30-06, .223 Rem, 222Cal, 243 Win, 9.3×62 + pistol calibres). The cartridge is loaded into the chamber and as there is no extraction groove, it will not be ejected and will remain in place throughout your practice session. A sensor fitted in the base of the cartridge activates the laser each time the firing pin is struck and the shot is registered instantly on the target.
Targets are interchangeable giving the shooter a wide choice including pistol targets, DFS standard targets and accurately scaled targets for distance shooting. The target slides into the target frame which is locked on to a sturdy tripod. The target is manufactured using a special plastic which allows penetration of the laser to indicate each hit.
The target is connected to your smartphone or tablet via the Accurize App which is a free app available on App Stores for Android and Apple, showing your ‘hits’ instantly on the chosen target. The app enables you to create profiles for multiple firearms and targets so you can track your progress over time using the session history feature and easy to read charts. The app also enables you to calibrate your firearm and sight using the in-built sight adjustment tool.
